When I became pregnant, I started questioning things I had never thought twice about before.
I looked at the skincare products I had, including K-Beauty ones, filling my bathroom and found myself wondering:
Are all these K-Beauty products even something I feel comfortable having around my baby?
I grew up with Korean beauty. I love the innovation, the textures, and the ritual of taking care of your skin. But pregnancy and becoming a mom changed the way I looked at what I was putting on my face every day.
Suddenly, I was reading ingredient lists more carefully. I wanted effective skincare, but I also wanted formulas that felt thoughtful and uncomplicated. And I realized I wasn’t the only one.
There are so many women like me: busy professionals, new moms, people with sensitive skin, and anyone who simply wants to understand what’s actually inside their skincare.
That question eventually became the starting point for Skyne Beauty.
I wanted to take what I love about K-Beauty and approach it differently: science-backed ingredients, thoughtful formulas, and no unnecessary noise. Our products are fragrance-free and formulated without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oil, artificial fragrance, or artificial colorants.
But Skyne was never about being afraid of skincare ingredients.
It was about being more intentional with them.
Today, that philosophy has grown into what we call Early Skin Longevity: caring for your skin consistently today, so it can continue looking and feeling its best over time.
Because becoming a mom didn’t make me care less about skincare.
It made me ask better questions about it.
